I'm sorry to say I have not had an opportunity to try any of the patterns in this book.I have used other Ellenor Burns books and have been VERY happy with the clear instructions. (I have only made two quilts, so I'm very much a beginner.)To say you can make a quilt in a day, is only true if you are doing a baby quilt. My two quilts were for king size beds. I can't guess the number of hours I spent piecing, but I was very happy with how the quilts turned out (I did pay for the quilting, since they were so large).I have take a couple of beginning classes on piecing and the instructor told me that virtually every quilting book has mistakes in them - not what a beginner needs to deal with. However, she has not found any errors in any of Eleanor Burns' books.I anticipate many hours of enjoyment working with these patterns.
